THE TRUTH ABOUT THE COST OF TUITION

Distance education is almost always less expensive than comparable quality on-campus education.  This is primarily because of the high cost of maintaining traditional campus facilities and faculty.  Conversely, because distance education schools are not burdened with maintaining traditional facilities, the level of tuition and fees can be reduced accordingly.  This brings the cost of continuing education within the reach of most adult learners.

Nevertheless, quality distance education cannot be delivered to students unless tuition and fees are sufficiently high enough to support the cost of maintaining acceptable standards and practices.  For example, if the combined salaries of just two administrators were $65,000 per year, and the average tuition (per student) totaled $3,250, it would take twenty (20) students paying the full amount just to cover the annual salary of these two administrators.

Using the above example, consider the additional cost of providing quality distance education involving dozens of staff, faculty, administrators, the cost of facilities, materials, advertising, record keeping, program development, personnel benefits, and related expenses.  Now, ask yourself how it is possible to provide a credible education by charging ridiculously low tuition.  Usually, when a school advertises surprisingly low tuition (such as $35 to $55 per credit for master's level programs), it is reasonable to assume that someone is being short-changed...probably you.  That's why those individuals who select a program based on the lowest price and the easiest program will get just that...an easy and cheap degree that they will later come to realize was neither a bargain nor a benefit!

Of course, we realize that the average person must be willing to make some sacrifices in order to complete a distance education program such as ours.  This is why we have carefully structured the tuition, fees, and payment options for all of our programs in order to reduce waste, maximize resources, and make it possible for just about anyone to enroll in the degree or certificate program of his or her choice.  We promise that if you enroll at Master's, you will pay a fair price for a credible distance education program.  Consider the Tuition Rates at other high quality institutions and you will see for yourself!

Just to help put things into perspective, consider the following math trivia.  The average cost of eating lunch at a fast food restaurant is $5.00.  If you eat only three lunches a week for a period of ten years, you will have spent $7,800.00 and that does not take into account that over the next ten years the cost of lunch is going to increase!  Figures are based upon current average prices in the U.S. and will vary in other countries...but you get the point!

A God-honoring educational program for ministry is not about "going on the cheap."  This is the most important business on earth!  The souls of men and women hang in the balance.  God forbid that we should be willing to pay more for automobiles, furniture, and vacation cruises than for the study of the Eternal Word of Truth!  What will we value in eternity?

At Master's, you will discover that the route to earning a credible theological distance education degree is affordable and fair, and that in the end, you will have made a reasonable investment of time and money that will continue to pay unending dividends in this world, and in the world to come.
