BIBLICAL PREACHING
PROGRAM
Why
This Program...Because God's Word has declared, "For after that
in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased
God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe" (I
Corinthians 1:21 KJV). There is little question that the
return of Jesus Christ is closer today than ever. Most
Christians agree that His second coming cannot be far away.
Consequently, it is the work of Satan to weaken the pulpit and
reduce preaching to entertainment. As never before, our world
needs the clear and uncomplicated eternal Gospel sounded from
pulpits where Biblical truth is both uncompromising in message and
Spirit anointed in delivery. Graduates of the Master's
Biblical Preaching Program will be prepared to minister in the
finest tradition of Gospel proclamation, and to be used of God, as
was the Apostle Paul who declared, "But we preach Christ crucified"
(I Corinthians 1:23 KJV).
What
This Program Is...The master's and doctoral level Biblical
Preaching Program at Master's is unique in that unlike other degree
disciplines that offer residency seminars as an optional alternative
to regular online courses, these preaching programs require three
residency seminars of two day each. These seminars are
scheduled throughout the year in various locations across the United
States.
Who Should
Consider This Program...These
preaching programs are primarily designed for those who are already
serving in Christian ministry, especially pastors and
evangelists, and for those who wish to give attention to the gift of
preaching and teaching. The three intense yet practical
seminars afford the mature adult student with an opportunity for
faculty guided and peer review interaction designed to polish and
strengthen personal preaching skills. This program will serve
as the pinnacle of refinement for anyone called to preach.
Seminar Overview
for Master Level Students
Each seminar involves pre-seminar preparation culminating in
a two-day intensive small group seminar.
Word
Tools for Preaching WT-501 (seminar only)
This course is a hands-on effort to acquaint the student with
the best available scholarly tools that make the original
languages of Scripture accessible for study and exposition.
While it does not require expertise in Greek or Hebrew, it will
serve to acquaint the student with books, lexicons, theological
dictionaries, software and other tools that enable the student
to grasp the true meanings of the original languages, culture,
thought patterns and development that informed the text.
Preaching
Logically LP-501 (seminar only)
This course equips the student with an understanding of the
basics of logical argument and critical thinking. But it is not
designed to leave the student with just another set of terms and
facts. The real test of logical preaching is in its practice.
Therefore, the course will also allow the student to develop
logical arguments and present those arguments during the class,
drawing on the various logical arguments and critical thinking
methods from the texts.
Preaching
Practicum PP-501 (seminar only)
The purpose of this course is to provide the preaching student
with an opportunity to demonstrate through a faculty guided and
peer reviewed process the acquired skills of Biblical preaching.

Tuition Cost of Each Seminar
Unlike regular seminars
for which there is a corresponding direct distance education course,
there are no alternative courses for the three required preaching
seminars. Therefore, at the time of enrollment, the student is
not charged tuition for the three seminars. Tuition payment
for each seminar is paid upon actual registration for the seminar.
At that time a $50 Registration Fee is required (this reserves the
student's place at that particular seminar. The remaining
tuition is paid anytime prior to actually attending the seminar.
The remaining tuition for master's level students is $300, and for
doctoral level student, $350.
