are the only Divinity School to be named for the "Master"
Himself.
We
broke with the trend to identify ministry training
programs as a "university," and returned to our historical
roots by proclaiming it for what it is, a "Divinity
School."
We
created programs specifically designed for mature adults
who already knew what they wanted and expected from a
degree program, and we did not compromise on strong
academics!
We
designed three distinct venues through which to earn a
degree, and allowed the student to decide which was best.
We
created the first degree program in Pro-life Counseling.
We
created the first degree program in Counseling Sexual
Addictions.
We
created the first biblical counseling degree program
combining certification by the leading biblical counseling
association, the International Association of Biblical
Counselors.
We
created the first biblical preaching degree program
combining a Preaching Fellowship from the leading biblical
preaching institute, the Stephen F. Olford Institute for
Biblical Preaching.
We
created our own Online Digital Library for theological
study designed specifically to meet the study and research
needs of our students.
We
were the first degree granting Divinity School to offer a
complete online Bible study program absolutely free to
individuals anywhere in the world who (could not or did
not desire) to enroll in an official course of study
leading to a degree, certificate or diploma.
We
are the first theological distance education
school to have an official institutional partnership with
two major accredited universities (Columbia Southern
University and California Coast University).

A FINAL WORD ON HOW MASTER'S IS UNIQUE
The
fact that Master's is unique is the result of
following a different calling. That "different
calling" has put us on the cutting edge of a
unique kind of revival. That is, a revival of
interest in servant-centered ministry education, that
views learning as a tool for more effective service.
We firmly believe
that the Church, particularly in American and other
Western nations,
is in desperate need of revival, and that those who
are called to serve on the spiritual battlefield of
our day need every advantage available. The worldly
pressures being exerted upon the Church call for
spiritually and doctrinally sound leaders. Continuing
ministry education must be rooted in the Word of God;
empowered by the Spirit of God; and dedicated to
lifting up the Son of God! Therefore, we believe that
this kind of ministry training is not merely an
option, but a serious responsibility.
The goal of the revival is to encourage our students
to earn their degree for only one reason...to preach
and teach the Word of God with holy boldness, and
therefore, to be more
useful servants of Christ. Yes, they must "earn"
the degree, but the earning of the degree is not the
ultimate goal. The ultimate goal is the polishing,
honing, and cultivating of the mental and spiritual
tools necessary to go on to more effective service in
the evangelization of the lost, and the strengthening
of the Church universal.
This revival is a return to the real purpose of
ministry education...preparation or Spirit-empowered
service. That's why the goal of Master's is to
restore, through practical Biblical education, the
servant culture of Christian ministry. The fact is,
we reject the C.E.O. mentality of ministry, the
spiritual entertainment culture that is currently
depleting our churches of real spiritual vitality, and
believe that most individuals who are called to
Christian ministry have an intense desire to acquire
and sharpen the tools required to fulfill the Great
Commission.
Therefore, we understand ministry higher education as
a path to more effective service rather than a means
of obtaining advantage or prestige.
