POLICY ON
ACCEPTING CREDITS & DEGREES FROM OTHER SCHOOLS
-
CREDITS AND DEGREES EARNED AT
CPCA CERTIFIED INSTITUTIONS,
ABHE AFFILIATED
INSTITUTIONS AND INSTITUTIONS ACCREDITED BY A USDE APPROVED
ACCREDITOR:
All
requests for the recognition of credits and degrees earned at
institutions as noted above will be carefully reviewed. Providing
the degree or credits are acceptably relevant to the program into
which application is being made, it is a practical certainty that
credits and degrees earned will be accepted by Master's
International School of Divinity. However, even in the case of
these schools, Master's reserves the right to decline acceptance.
-
CREDITS AND DEGREES EARNED AT INSTITUTIONS OTHER THAN THOSE NOTED
ABOVE, BUT HAVING A REPUTATION FOR FOLLOWING GENERALLY ACCEPTED
ACADEMIC PRACTICE:
All
requests for the recognition of credits and degrees earned at
other institutions will be carefully reviewed. Providing the
course/credit and degree requirements meet appropriate and
generally recognized academic guidelines, the degree or credits
are acceptably relevant to the program into which application is
being made, and were earned through an institution verified by
MISD to have met these requirements, there is no practical reason
why such credits and degrees would not be accepted by Master's
International School of Divinity. However, Master's reserves the
right to decline such acceptance.
-
CREDITS AND DEGREES RECEIVED FROM INSTITUTIONS OTHER THAN
THOSE LISTED ABOVE:
All requests for
recognition of credits and degrees received from institutions
other than those above will also be respectfully reviewed.
In some cases, while full credit or degree transfer is not
allowed, it may be possible to grant limited recognition.
When this option is permitted, it provides an opportunity for the
applicant to receive partial credit for work done at a less
academically rigorous institution, and use such credit to reduce
some of the requirements for a degree at Master's. In no
case will Master's recognize credits or degrees received through
organizations that grant such credentials on the basis of
life-experience only. Master's maintains an extensive list
of acceptable, partially acceptable and unacceptable institutions.
