GRADUATE
WRITES DEFINITIVE BIOGRAPHY OF GEORGE WHITEFIELD
Dr.
Ernest A. Johnston, (D.B.S.) has written a two-volume work that
is certain to become the most important biography of the man
whom many refer to as the greatest evangelist of the Early
American Great Awakening. As a British subject,
Whitefield's preaching awakened a great revival spirit on both
sides of the Atlantic.
Dr. Johnston is a fellow of the
Stephen Olford Institute for Biblical Preaching, and the author
of several books, including A Heart Awake: The Authorized
Biography of J. Sidlow Baxter (Baker, 2005).
