LIFE-ISSUES
(PRO-LIFE) COUNSELING PROGRAM
Who Should Consider This
Program...The
Program is specifically designed for those individuals
called by God to serve as biblically trained pro-life
counselors and advocates. It is ideal for PRC directors,
staff, and volunteers; pastors; youth workers; Biblical
counselors; teachers; school administrators; nurses;
physicians; and anyone who desires to know how to provide
life-issues counseling from a biblical perspective. The

counseling licensure law. It is intended to
provide Bible-based and Christ-centered training which has

Program Dean and Course
Faculty...Everyone involved with the development of
this pioneering Program
is an accomplished practitioner in his or her own area of
competency. They share in common a strong commitment
to the sanctity of life and total devotion to the Lord
Jesus Christ.
Deena
Crandall is the Program Dean for the Life-Issues
counseling program. Mrs. Crandall is a practicing
pro-life counselor and PRC director with an extensive
background in Pregnancy Resource Center administration and
program development. For several years she served as
Director of the Evansville Christian Life Center’s
Pregnancy Resource Centers (two centers, located in
Evansville, IN). She has also served in various
capacities at Pregnancy Resource Centers in the San
Francisco Bay Area and Chicago, and has been a featured
speaker at Indiana State Right to Life Conventions.
Deena's
educational background includes an A.A. in Biblical
Studies from Moody Bible Institute; a B.A. in Group and
Interpersonal Communication, along with a minor in
Psychology, from Trinity International University in
Deerfield, IL; and a M.Min. from Master's International
School of Divinity.
Program Description
& Purpose...With
the offering of this Program, Master's reaches another
ministry
training milestone to become the first Divinity School
to offer a
complete degree concentration in Life- Issues
Counseling. A practical and biblical approach is
taken
regarding course selection and
development. As a consequence, the student
is introduced to
the everyday issues associated with pro-life
counseling. Veterans in the field can anticipate
enhancing and strengthening training and skills
already acquired.
The
purpose of the Program is to provide biblically based
training for individuals who are called to minister as
pro-life/pro-family counselors and advocates. The
outcome intent is to prepare the student to deal with
the real-life issues surrounding pregnancy decisions,
abortion and post-abortion counseling. The curriculum
is unapologetically Bible-based, pro-life, and
evangelically oriented.
